Auckland sunset

We spent much of the day in Coromandel peninsula. We climbed a steep hill near Tairua called Mt Paku to see some amazing views over the ocean and the bay, and then drove to Whitianga, where we bought some towel robes, intending to go for a dip in the sea. However we then made a poor choice of route to the West of Coromandel, by going down Route 306, which was mainly a gravel road. It took forever and lacked any merit like interesting scenery.
We then drove the coastal route to the West but felt the beaches were scrubby so we oushed on to Auckland. After dinner this incredible sunset appeared so it won the contest for today’s blip.
Before dinner I went for a run. That’s the first time for months and therefore a positive move foot wise, but it made it obvious that I have lost fitness stamina, as I had to stop several times to catch my breath. But hopefully I can now start to build up again.
