Tate Britain
A good day. I was meeting my friends (ex work) Deirdre, Chris and Johanne for dinner at 1800. As I rarely go into London I- decided (with Penny's encouragement) to go in early and make a bit of a day of it. Thus encouraged I decided to go to Tate Britain, not least as I have never been there before (another one of those things where "I could go any day, so I don't). I focused on the 9 Turner rooms (the largest collection of his work apparently) and then briefly on Stubbs (very good at horses). I learnt a lot not least because there was almost nothing in the "ship on fire in the mist" which I had always associated with Turner. I also went (twice (beginning and end)) to have a drink in the café at the top under the dome. Each time I sat there for 15/ 20 minutes and was just quiet. I have so much going on still that my head is full. I found it very helpful to just sit, admire the building and do nothing. A lesson for moving forward I daresay?! However there is always other "stuff" to be getting on with at home whereas in the beautiful Tate café, there isn't.
