Crest‘Alta

P. and Kara spent the morning high above Lej da Silvaplauna on Crest’Alta working with Camillo the labrador and his owner the coach. Low clouds and a strong wind were indicating already the heavy snow fall which we are hoping to get later tonight.

I spent again two hours mobilizing my knee in the water.

Crest'Alta
A pretty restaurant with a panoramic terrace stood here until 1964. Built in 1888, the restaurant was leased out several times. However, there was no running water, so everything had to be laboriously carried up the forest path or lined. When part of the building collapsed, it had to be demolished. Crest'Alta means "high ridge". This is where the viewpoint is located.
