dawning
Sunrise today in Edinburgh was at 8.40 and I was out on the beach well before that to catch this beautiful sunrise. It was chilly, but hardier women than me were out in the sea.
Luke, Maria and I had breakfast at the Old Spence cafe in Leith. I had been there before, when cars travelled along the road outside. Now it is only for trams and brave cyclists.
Maria and I walked all the way up Leith Walk together before we went our separate ways. I had some time in Edinburgh before my bus home, so visited a few nice places - Valvona & Crolla, Topping’s bookshop, Old St Paul’s Church (dark, silent and “Still”), and Calton Hill, from where I could see the city spread out below.
It has been a good day.
