Hummingbird

Smithers and I received this Christmas card today from our Vicar and his wife. Apparently it was designed specially for them – no prizes for guessing by whom! 

Next year it will be on sale in the Atrium and will form one of the four designs on offer. The second design will be the card that we sent to our friends this year, so that’s two out of the four designs sorted. That leaves me four new designs to produce for next year – two more for the Atrium, plus a new one for our Vicar and his wife, and a new one for Smithers and me.

If I can possibly design them before the new year, the aim is to start printing a batch every week throughout the year to try and reduce the amount of work in the last few weeks before the annual sale. That’s the plan, anyway, but it will probably never happen.

Oh, and if the font on the card looks vaguely familiar – those of you who were fans of the BBC series "Ludwig" starring David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin may be interested to know that I did my research to find out what the name of the title font was, because I loved it so much. I discovered it’s called Hummingbird from Laura Worthington Design, and I just had to buy it.
