Round Two

Second Christmas dinner in two days.
Only had the main course yesterday.
This time with my friends Di, Al and B.
Three courses, l had to leave some Christmas pudding even though the portions were not huge.
Enjoyed catching up with them and look forward to seeing them in the New Year.

It’s Di’s birthday on Christmas Eve and l am invited to her party but am unable to attend as l will be over in Skipton with my family, so it was good to see her today.
As we left the restaurant we heard the sad news that Morton’s ( an old established hardware store) was closing .
Such a sad sign of the times.
You could go in that shop and be given excellent service and advice for any DIY problem. They could come up with any solution for a problem that seemed impossible to fix.
One of those places you could buy an individual brass screw or a length of electrical wire exactly to fit your need.
We will never see their like again.
We called in to offer our commiserations and B ended up spending over £60! Lots of bargains if you need something.

Called in at M&S to get some whipping cream for the pavlova l will be making, find it so hard to source these days, one pot left but not a good sell by date.
Will try again tomorrow.

Forgot all about taking a photograph so it’s a shop window where l waited for the bus home, thank you Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday.

Finally thank you to Blip Central for fixing the problems yesterday.
