Life's Little Moments

Not Much Better

Since Jax is at day care today, poor Charlie was the victim of me and my attempts at holiday pet pictures.  I taped a sheet of wrapping paper to a the legs of a small bench and poked a cat-head sized hole in it and then tried darngling every single toy in the house in front of the opening.  Charlie was on the bench, in front of the bench, and under the wrapping paper, but never once did he put his head through the opening.  How very catlike of him.  Anyway, I had a lot of giggles while I was trying to get him to cooperate and he got a few treats and lots of play time so I guess it was a win for all.  I will put an outtake in Extra which shows you my set up and Charlie's disdain.

Hubs and I took advantage of a dog free day and went out for lunch which was nice.  I had avocado toast with chopped  tomatoes, shredded basil and mozzarella and a drizzle of olive oil.  It was delish.  Hubs had a small pizza made with a cauliflower crust which he said was great.  Into town to get some cash and then back home where one of us is very likely going to take a nap.

I finished "All the Colors of the Dark" yesterday - what a thoroughly enjoyable read!  I've put two others by the same author on my Kindle wish-list, waiting for a price drop to pounce.

I promise that tomorrow I will do something other than wrapping paper and pets.  Maybe.
