The accidental finding

Alexander and Xenia

Stroud old cemetery is a nature reserve. Many graves are overgrown. Every now and again they get cleared, in rotation. This it was that, though I walk through the cemetery, by the same path, many times, I'd never seen this grave stone uncovered before. So many questions swirl through my mind about Alexander and Xenia...

I had a frustrating trip  on food/by bus to Cashes Green, on the other side of Stroud, and the return journey was even worse. But the sun shine, sometimes, and I'd clocked up 8000 steps by the time I walked through the graveyard. The couple I was home-visiting BOTH had memory loss, so this led to some interesting conversations, as you might imagine. I hope I've made some good recommendations, including linking them to a local transport provider, to the carers' hub, a service for claiming attendance allowance for both, and booking the fire service to just pop in and check their smoke alarms.

Hard work back at the desk, apart from a brief interlude when I read Ned the Lonely Donkey, a Ladybird book for children with 1950s morality, not to mention fashions.

Now I'm watching Gone Christmas Fishing , the 2022 edition when they went to Norway. I'm trying to remember what else I need to do....
