Cotswold Sunrise
As we approach the winter Solstice, 21 December, the days have become noticeably shorter. For example, this is the normal walk to school time and the sun, usually just above the Cotswold skyline, has not managed to crawl over the hills as yet. This would have been about 08:35.
By the time I'd dropped the girls, and began walking back home, I was shielding my eyes from the strong sunshine.
Reminded me that I can't find my sunglasses. I never had long lasting sunglasses until we visited Tasmania in January 2002, shortly after the 9/11 attacks. Can't forget that period, airport security, worldwide, was horrendous, and understandably so.
January, in Australia, is warm and sunny so I needed to buy a pair of sunglasses. They weren't the cheapest around but they were perfect for me. Tinted from dark at the top down to not so dark at the bottom, useful when driving etc.
Last time I remember having them is about six months ago so they are my longest lasting sunglasses at over 22 years. I know I haven't actually lost them, just can't find them!
