Grinch mode...

...yesterday morning l went into serious Grinch mode at a visit to the supermarket.  It was packed with people putting more and more stuff in their trolleys.  The aisles were stacked high with cheap tins of chocolates, panettone, boxes and cartons of alcohol, gift wrapping paper ..and then to the food aisles - packets of cheap meat picked up, put down, falling off shelves as the frenzy continued.  How can they sell some of this stuff so cheaply without someone losing out badly along the way.  How can a leg of lamb cost £18 one day and £7 the next.  Can't people see that the £4 tin of chocolates is half the size it was last year? 
Aaargh.

In the evening l had luckily calmed down and we had people pop around for a casual dinner, it was cold out  but warm company inside.  Today we are going to join the masses and leave London for the coast.  Bliss
