Work Christmas dinner

Nearly done for the year.  So busy with candidates for personal titles (professorships) asking for help with evidence of the quality of their research publications. Lots of the publishers seem to be clearing their decks before Christmas too so there was lots of admin to get through.  
Our team headed off for our lunch only to see the building being evacuated due to a fire alarm.  Some came out plates in hand and ate their turkey at the fire assembly point. We went back to the library and watched from the staff room until the alarm was silenced and everyone was allowed back to their tables. The catering staff did a very good job of getting back on track with serving prebooked groups. The meal was good and the veggie option was nicer than last year. Sticky toffee pudding put me in a sugar coma for the rest of the afternoon and copious coffee was needed to power through the last jobs. 
Will be working from home for my last day.  Watered all my plants and turned off all my plugs so the university's electricity bill can be cut as much as possible over the winter closure.
