Spooning

Spending Xmas in Darlington so no lathe, no wood turning so I thought I'd have a go at spoon carving instead. Using a piece of seasoned sycamore which I had to hand but that's hard going, green wood would be easier. Oh and I need a spoon knife to hollow out the spoon and I'm hoping secret Santa will oblige, he/she has been tipped off.

Torn as to whether to sand it or leave the cut marks in place, I'm leaning towards the latter, it's a result of the process used to make the spoon soon looks right to me.
