Illumination

When the sun comes out and lights up the land.  It was only a brief burst, as I walked one of my regular routes along this old lane that connects scattered farms.

Later, I was blown away by Andrea Arnold's film Bird which I cannot recommend too highly. 
Its combination of social and magical realism might not appeal to everyone (and some critics have been less  enthusiastic) but it left me reeling with its mixture of violence, tenderness and fantasy - and brilliant acting on the part of young people and children especially.
