Open for Christmas

Hellebore, the beautiful Christmas rose 

I was going to post this in bud last Friday but it was impossible to get clear shot as it was so dark. Glad I waited as now there are two blooms open for today’s flower Friday. 
These are in a pot on the kitchen door step. The others across the drive in the garden don’t seem to have much happening at the moment, no buds as yet!

Just in from a Christmas meal out with the Ladies who travelled. A very pleasant afternoon in Haworth but I’m now stuffed! Definitely going to be a couch potato tonight!
Chris has been in ferrying duty and having brought us back he is now taking our son out to his Christmas ‘do’ at Keighley Golf Club.
