Today in Bordeaux…

…it was sunny and warm, and I had a glass of Prosecco sitting at a café in the sunshine, and went for a lovely lunch. If anyone needs a restaurant recommendation for a visit to Bordeaux, try Zéphirine. It looks like a delicatessen from the front, but is in fact an amazing restaurant. We both agreed it was the best meal we have ever had in France (with the exception of fruits de mer of course!) 
Then we went to see the German submarine base, which now hosts a light  and music show. I was more interested to see the actual pens, which could house fifteen submarines, but it was very dark inside and the lights never came on between shows. 
The two photos at the bottom show the outside and the inside view, with the illusion of the giant doors opening and a submarine sailing past!
The snowy scene was in a backstreet!
