A blip of Fisherrow harbour in Musselburgh, literally yards from where I used to live in a previous life.

Not the happiest time of my life if I care to be honest but a beautiful place, in its own right and an amazing history! I only stopped here today as I had an impulse to buy some breaded haddock and fresh mussels. I don’t usually buy fish on a Friday, I’m not of that inclination and can be no part of the Scottish football VAR panel, very few people will get this but I chuckled!

The price of fish has surprised me, especially as when I fished regularly could often pull 20kg of cod onto the boat without trying…at £18 per kilo that’s good fishing.
