Tesco weekly shop

Wem went a bit earlier to Tesco today and were glad we did as it was very busy and getting even busier while we shopped. By the time we came out there were queues to get in and out of the site.
Santa was outside the main doors and Terry popped in a donation. The Rotary Club sends Santa all around the town every Christmas.
We had a disturbed night last night. Woke up to a deafening noise around 20 to 4 having only been in bed about 2 hours, maybe less! In your sleepy state you can't work out what it is at first but we finally worked out that it was our house alarm.
Terry went to investigate and nothing was disturbed and he cancelled it wondering what had triggered it. There was nothing we could find that would have set it off and Terry ahs checked all of the batteries today - all of them were fine.
He thinks but is not sure that the signal box was switched off at the socket on the three way adapter but we are not sure that would have set the alarm off anyway! I wondered if something had slipped down in the kitchen and the sensor there had picked it up eg a plate in the rack or maybe something on the worktop near the sink - but we are not even sure there was anything in the washing up rack as we don't usually leave anything in the rack overnight and the only things by the sink are usually 2 mugs and 2 or 3 glasses, none of which are likely to fall over in the middle of the night.
I have checked our CCTV footage for the relevant time to see if anyone had tried our front door (we once had someone trying to get in who was legless and clearly at the wrong house) but there was nothing on the CCTV to have caused it.
Anyway, it's a mystery but a bit concerning.
Started a new book today called The Holiday by Erica James and it's set on Corfu. It's OK on first impressions but not likely to be a brilliant read - I bought it as a "light relief" book as I don't always want books that are involved and like to have some easy reads. Weird when I think back because I only ever used to read non-fiction up to and during the 1980s but then I stopped reading much for some time and then when I took it up again I preferred fiction!
