The calm before

Woke late today but just enjoyed the lie in before getting up and tackling a huge pile of ironing. Finally got it done, made up all the beds and put fairy lights round the kids bedrooms before having some lunch and wrapping the last presents.
It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the walk over to Bruntsfield to meet CB for a chat, tea and a shared piece of cake.
Walked back then started on some Christmas food prep before making a quick (too spicy) supper and looking out some more recipe options.
Chatted to Mt then to A about next few days’ plans…it will soon be getting chaotic!
