Dolly's Day

FIORE FLORIST

I was supposed to meet a blip friend this afternoon in a cafe in the village but the meet up was cancelled as she wasn't feeling well.

However I still went to the meeting place - The Orangery cafe in the Hermitage Garden - as I had prebooked a 'Too Good to Go' surprise bag online.  There was one on the app for collection this afternoon and I decided to earmark it as I thought I would be going to the cafe anyway.

I collected my bag at 2.30pm.  It contained 2 sausage rolls, 2 large pieces of cake and a teacake - all for £3.29. Selling these bags via the app means food isn't wasted at the end of the day.

Took my blip shot in Front Street as I was walking to the bus stop.. Its the lovely village florists shop.  It always has wonderful window displays. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.

Then I got a bus to the small Morrisons on my estate as I had a parcel to collect from there.  The staff took ages to find it.  None of the parcels had names on - just barcodes.  Seems like a silly system.  But they found my parcel in the end.  I also did a bit of shopping there.  Its not a shop I go in very often as its very cluttered and quite expensive.  But I did find some things today which were reduced in price --- and not out of date.  I got 2 packs of bacon at 90p each, a large block of cheese for 45p and some milk for 20p.

Took my Extra shot outside Morrisons.  Its another lovely postbox topper by The Woolley Minded Knitters..  Had to stand on my tip toes to get the shot so its not a very good one.

Walked back home and relaxed for a while with a cup of coffee and a piece of cake.  Then I wrapped some Christmas presents whilst watching TV.

The weather was quite mild today and I managed to avoid the rain. I think it had rained earlier this morning.
