The Waiting Game
I finally decided that I needed a new chair for my living room, and found exactly the one on a huge sale, so snapped it up. It took a while to come, and finally the delivery was scheduled for today between 9 am and 1 pm. So I decided that it was a great morning to work on a new Authentically Kate blog post. Eventually the truck arrived at 1:30. Not tooooo bad, all things considered, and I made good use of the time.
The chair, which is not a large nor heavy chair, was in a large box strapped to a wooden pallet. The delivery guy wheeled it into my garage. I asked if he'd take the pallet away and he said he had to call to get it approved and I'd have to pay for it. So it's still in my garage...I figure someone will take it, right? The chair looks great, and I promise to take a photo of it tomorrow.
The blog post is done. I thought that it would be interesting, since I have access to my mom's memoir, to write about why my parents decided to adopt a child (or three actually). It's a poignant story and I'm really glad I wrote it. Well, actually my mom wrote most of it ;-)

Meanwhile, the only photo I got today was of this interesting sky over the golf course off of my deck late this afternoon. The blue sky was certainly trying!
