Like a bridge over...

... a train station. Okay so it's none too glam but I was struck today by how gorgeous North Bridge is.

Before I started the commute I only saw North Bridge once in a blue moon when I scurried over it to face the grim shopping experience that is Argos. (with its 'laminated book of dreams', as Bill Bailey calls it!)

Now when I walk to the station I see it stretching across the city, with Arthur's Seat in the background and Holyrood huddled underneath. Gorgeous view to start the day with.

Mind you I'd swap it for some rolling vineyards in Tuscany. Guess you can't have it all!
