on the stairs

I went to a  Christmas party today for the gardeners and volunteers at Myddleton Gardens. It was the first time I'd been in the house there which is now used as offices for the Lee Valley Regional Park. The gardens are under them although not close to their other areas. I couldnt resist photographing on the lovely old staircase and a fellow volunteer gardener was happy to provide a hand on the rail . No party games today but lots of food, a gardening related quiz and an excellent talk on E.A. Bowles given by one of the previous gardeners.
