Let Me Introduce . . . Bella

   She's my daughters cat. My daughter got her when she was only eight weeks old. A check-up by the vet revealed that she might have a heart problem and an appointment was made at the Veterinary School in Edinburgh.

   We duly went and left Bella in their good hands. After all their poking, prodding and all the stuff trainee vets do (with their tutors I tow) we were told that she does indeed have a hole in her heart.

   An appointment a few weeks later and there was little to no change in her condition, despite medication. According to the vet, she may live for not much more than nine months.
