Princess Nellie

We joined the thousand and more others on a journey on the last Saturday before Christmas, and the travel forecast for most of the country was dire. Glad to say our journey wasn't too bad at all and we negotiated the dreaded M6 round Birmingham without too many hold ups and then onward to the A14 where we met up with my #2 daughter T, her Partner M, my lovely granddaughter Lily and the two Dachshounds Nellie and Peanut. We met for lunch in a very nice dog-friendly pub by the canal in the little village of Welford, N'hamptonshire. We had been to the same pub earlier this month to meet up with some of Mr HB's family as its a good half way meeting place for everyone.

Really lovely seeing some of my family again, lunch was good and the dogs were very well behaved. 3 hours later we took the dogs for a little walk by the canal, exchanged C presents, said our fond farewells and had good journeys home.
