Snow on the hills
I must admit I've made this look a bit more wintry than it really is. The strong wind is chilly but the sun is shining. It's a lovely morning.
Thanks for all the good wishes and kind comments on yesterday's blip. The festive gathering went well. I counted 29 adults, 5 children and 2 dogs. The house was buzzing and it was as if the past five years hadn't intervened. A few people didn't make it and the local ones have had a couple of mince pies delivered this morning to make up for it. I'm so glad we asked people in last night and I'm relieved that they came and seemed to have a good time.
In other news all 40 festive goody bags were delivered to older people who live locally. The group of volunteer deliverers each had three bags so it all happened quickly and smoothly. It is a really joyful thing to be part of.
It's going to be a quiet day here. I loved having friends and neighbours in the house last night but I am enjoying a bit of down time now.
