Mum
Mum at 98 still going strong.
The drive up to Yorkshire wasn't quite as bad as I'd expected. To distract myself I went onto BBC Sounds and listened to Huge Bonneville reading Sherlock Holmes stories. I didn't see the miles.
Any guilt I had now has dissipated after the truth that I really couldn't cope with mum at our house over Christmas has sunk in. It was of course lovely to see her as usual and I'm sitting here in the kitchen whilst she is snoozing in the lounge. Difficult to say what I'm feeling at the moment so I won't.
Hubs has stayed at home and is looking after the dogs.
Last night was a complete debacle in all honesty. I had put up my blip, the outside lights were still on and the fox I thought had long gone when I in bare feet last thing let Millie out for a final canter. Oh what a mistake to make. Border terriers were bred as fox hunters and she shot out of the back door. I saw the fox for a 1000th of a sec closely followed by Millie in hot pursuit. Hubs saved the day as I screamed hearing blood curdling squeals.
Everyone lived to tell the tale. I think.
