Kingston Lacy

I am now at my sister and BiL’s, with two nieces and R’s young son. So we are a six person household for the week. It’s going to be difficult to keep up with blips, but I guess that’s the same for many at this time of year.

Late morning I travelled to Kingston Lacy, which has the appearance of a big dolls house. I walked around the gardens, then had a tour of the house which has been set up for Christmas. There were a lot of children on the Wishes trail and wanting to see Santa.

Returning to my sister’s village I stopped off at Bradbury Rings, an impressive ancient hill fort. Not the best of ideas - a piercing cold wind was supplemented by heavy showers, I got soaked.

Early evening a carol concert at the parish church. It’s a tradition I like, although the people attending were all on the older side, it may struggle to survive as the years pass.
