spaghetti aglio e olio

...with a few olives chucked in for good measure.

Drove to Vaison first. Wanted to buy new shoes. The shop was closed. Went to the supermarket where I can get crisps that taste like Tayto Cheese & Onion. They didn't have any!

Drove to Valréas to go to the big Leclerc. Wanted to get a couple of different baking moulds. They didn't have them. Got a frame for Pierre's present though.

Went to another version of the supermarket that sells the cheese and onion crisps and they didn't have them either!

Bought mum and dad a few wee things along the way - fruit & nut chocolate bars and the French equivalent of mum's favourite: pink and whites!

Called at Dia on the way back in to Nyons. Not a bad wee shop.

Drove towards Mirabel and picked up Dermot on the way (he was thumbing a lift just outside Nyons). Left him off at his new gaff (where he tells me he's got a large, friendly cock).

Spent the afternoon cooking at mum's - this spaghetti, then a chocolate swiss roll which turned in to a delicious mess!

Mum introduced me to "The Returned", a new French TV series. We watched the first episode together. It was fantastic.

Home and chatted to Pierre for a bit. Gave dad his goodies and now to bed.
