A walk in Sutton Park. 9:30am.
This photo marks another milestone since my hip replacement. 7 weeks today since I came home from hospital.
We set out early this morning at 9:00am to have breakfast at the Blackroot Bistro. I had smashed avocado on toast with various accompaniments including bacon, and a cappuccino. It was very tasty.
After which we set off and did a 2km walk, which is just over a mile,
I so enjoyed it. I am now walking with just one crutch.
The low sun was shining in misty bursts at first, highlighting the skeleton branches of the trees against the sky. The beautiful slender white trunks of the silver birch trees standing out against the darker trunks of other trees,
The smell of damp wet leaves everywhere, in the cold air. It was 4C when we set off.
Now at 11:30am the sky has clouded over and rain is forecast later.
So pleased that we were out early before the sun was hidden again.
So begins Christmas week.
