Grey Monday
The skies have been pretty leaden today, so I thought I would blip probably our favourite Christmas card of the year, from our friends, Sarah and Stewart. It’s a pop-card of the Edinburgh skyline and is truly lovely.
Today has mostly been a day of final Christmas preparations, which has been most enjoyable.
One of the things I particularly enjoyed doing was dropping in some old ‘Retro magazines’ (mainly about old films and their stars), along with some chocolates to the neighbouring St. Anne’s Care Home.
I have been dropping off magazines for a few years now and I just love the atmosphere there. Bea and Linda (activity ladies) were busy wrapping presents, making sure that every resident has some presents to open. They also have Christmas dinner and other events in the run up to, as well as on the big day. I would like to hope that every care home goes to this much effort to ensure their residents enjoy Christmas.
Now back home and about to yearly watch of my favourite film ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’:
“Every Time A Bell Rings, An Angel Gets His Wings.”
