Finally on the way home. It’s been a day.

Finally finished Tar also… and as I suspected, it was amazing. It’s a slow film, but by the end you’re so engulfed by the atmosphere, acting and suspense that the resolution is so vibratingly jarring. It left me thinking very deeply about its themes, reasons, motivation, and symbolism that I wanted to watch other people’s takes on it.

It’s a very rewarding movie worth studying and writing about. I love Michelle Yeoh and happy she won an Oscar, but Cate Blanchett and this film are leagues better than Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.
