Coffee and Ginger Cake

Bake Off day with the
Older Teen.  No prizes won
but it's quite tasty :-)

Ben had a Bake Off book from his carers for Christmas, which we've all been perusing with interest and today Mr KCNQ2Haiku took Ben out, so Older Teen and I had the kitchen to ourselves for some cake-making :-)

It didn't go quite to plan and it took massively longer than we expected but we got there in the end!

Other than that there's been lots of washing and other cooking, I made bolognese for the freezer, pesto for our tea and did lots of meal planning for the next couple of days.  We walked Leo and now it's time for watching Ben play Mechanic Simulator on the Xbox.. very festive!
