Santa's helper

Today I attended the funeral of the mother of a friend of mine. This was a very sad occasion, since Joyce had died so unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago.
However, my mood improved in the afternoon with some last Christmas letters posted, a couple of bits and pieces bought from the shops and then my lovely four-legged assistant joined me while wrapping presents! A time for contemplation.
