Geoff
Our old friend Geoff has been in hospital for the last few weeks after an op, so I drove up to Cork and picked him up today after they'd checked him over for release. He's with us tonight and we'll drop him down to Skib in the morning, so he can do various bits and head over to his place on Cape Clear island for Christmas. He's not one to rest for long though. After Christmas he has to go back and get the stitches out, then a week or so doing a bird survey up the country. Then over to Spain where he's trying to buy an old disused pig farm in the Ebro valley, after that a flight from Barcelona to South Africa to take a week's trip in the Antarctic. He's probably going to head up to Tanzania to help his late brother's widow pick fruit on his way back to Ireland. Not bad for 75!
