The final day of the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games was to be the last event to be held in the Olympic Stadium before it's reduced in size and converted for football. The boys were looking forward to seeing all the Paralympic athletes, especially Richard Whitehead as we'd been in the stadium when he broke the world record last year. As he entered the stadium his gold blades stood out immediately, and we had a great view of the start. Sitting on the bend also let us see exactly how far behind he falls in the first half of the race and how quickly he covers the distance of the second half. Definitely the biggest cheer of the day from us when he crossed the line first.
