Water in and on

Started the day with a treat sized morning - 8 of us went for a lido swim and a Wetherspoons breakfast. All very lovely.

Back to do Christmas food prep but then left early evening to head towards Blackfriars Pier on the Thames for a friend’s 50th birthday party on a boat. (A slight shame that we were leaving as IrishLass and LongLegs were arriving for Christmas but they’d organised friends coming round to ours so it was ok really).

It took a while for everyone to warm up but it was a great evening. A recurring conversation was how wonderful DougsJB and PuddleDuck are (smile) and what do I do with all my spare time (frown).

It was chilly up top on the boat but great to be up there, looking at wonderful London and thriving on terrific fresh air.

Back really really late - as in 2am. You can’t get off a boat easily when it’s cruising down the Thames.
