Old Man, young man, Bearerraig Bay
Leaving behind the beautiful sunshine at Portnalong, we drove into the kind of downpour you think of as proper Scottish summer weather.
But when we arrived at our destination, the sun was shining once more - though the Old Man of Storr still had his head in the clouds.
We'd been keen to come to Bearerraig Bay as it's a great site for fossils - but the path down was treacherous, and some people who'd just been down warned us off. So, deciding that discretion was the better part of sliding 100 feet down a cliff, we had a drive round the Trotternish peninsula instead.
The scenery was so stunning, I've almost forgotten how crazy the boys were in the back of the car.
