Telling a story?

I am taking care of a friend’s cat. The story - the cat hissed most impressively in greeting. Very dramatic. I fed the cat, creating a smiley face.  The cat ate the food. I sat. I talked. I played a little music. I did NOT approach the cat. The cat walked by three times and seemed a little less concerned the second and third times. 

I got more presents! Food! Food is love. Amaretti and more wonderful tea. 

Biden gave us all tomorrow off. Thank you Biden. 

Elon Musk, who has so many ideas about the Russia-Ukraine war, and has interceded by both providing Starlink access and periodically taking it away, is under investigation by the US Defense Department. He didn’t comply with federal protocols that protect state secrets including not disclosing meetings with foreign leaders (Putin) since 2021. He has top secret security clearance and violation of these rules means the Air Force is not giving him high-level access. 

Sudan has officially rejected a Russian request to have a naval base there. They were worried about Western backlash. Libya then said they would resist any efforts by Russia to strengthen their military presence there. 

Russia’s largest military training ground, Kadamovsky, was attacked by drones yesterday. Four drones are supposed to have hit them. Fire. Explosions. 

Switzerland has joined the EU’s 15th package of sanctions against Russia Ned Belarus. The European Commission has already begun work on the 16th sanctions package. 

The Polish military is training with the Ukrainian engineering Armed Forces on the use of drones and electronic warfare systems. They also want to learn lessons from Ukraine for the creation of shelters and warehouses. 

Germany gave a new military support package to Ukraine which includes air defense systems and tanks. 

A Russian cargo ship carrying personnel and military equipment out of Syria has broken down at sea. 

Remember Ukraine attacked Russia’s fuel depot? They hit it again. Putin is mad. Really? You’ve attempted, repeatedly, to destroy their entire electric grid, before winter; you’ve attacked the nuclear power plant and held all the employees hostage; you blew up the hydro dam; and you think anyone cares that you are angry that Ukraine hit your fuel depot? With everything you’ve done, do you really think anyone will think that anything you claim to do in retaliation is anything you weren’t already planning to do anyway? 

Remember that some Russians were sabotaging botas to avoid being sent across there Dniester River? And sending Ukraine coordinates for the boats? “Russian military commanders are refusing to obey orders to send their subordinates on “suicidal” missions across the Dniester River.” !!!! Dare I hope that this is part of a trend where the Russian military simply refuses to fight? 

An enormous fire broke out at a Russian warehouse holding Shahed drones. Ukraine said the fire destroyed $16 million in drone parts. The Yelabuga drone factory produces Shahed type drones. Shahed drones are Iranian. 

There is a legion of foreign volunteers called The International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine. It is being formed in Poland. Over a thousand applications have been submitted.
