Bright lights

Our flat looks out onto the Dover Straits and we see all the boats coming going.  When it is rough they rest inside the Goodwin Sands - a huge sandbank which stretches for  several miles north and south and always offers a degree of shelter.  The sands are a resting place for a lot of sailing boats from times past wrecked on them..
At night the lights shine bright from the ships.
