Grey Christmas

Another lazy day. The replacement light shade came from John Lewis and was easily fitted but now I’m left with the challenge of returning a gigantic box back to them which is too large for post office or any other courier shop…it’s even too large to be dropped at a John Lewis which is ridiculous…sigh. Dropped another parcel at the PO and bought beer…the village shop was bustling in a friendly way, so very happy to be away from all the supermarket/ shopping hell on the ‘mainland’.
We walked up to the Wild Kitchen which is a little outdoors cafe on the edge of the village that did a great soup and roll for £6 each.
