The Mountain Light …

… has been so beautiful today, for my birthday, and, with 40cm, we have more snow than we can remember at this altitude and we’ve been living here for 18 years. We were reminiscing about the chalet where we previously lived and the igloos built in the garden and the mini avalanches into the driveway. It was at 1,300m and called Mountain Light, hence the title of this blip. 
Several friends called in to share an apéro around midday which was lovely. Now all our Swiss family are here and preparing my birthday meal. They are a great “Masterchef” team so I can put my feet up, wonderful. I’m feeling very spoiled! I loved watching the spindrift blowing from the seven summits of the Dents du Midi this afternoon especially when converted into black and white (extra). Traditional family photo tomorrow.
