Christmas Eve

It’s been a nice relaxing day, pottering about at home and getting up to date with laundry etc. This afternoon and early evening has been spent in my traditional Christmas Eve way, taking my time over wrapping up the last batch of gifts - for my family who I will see tomorrow. As I write, Carols from King’s has just finished on the television and so at last I feel that it really is Christmas. I shall have some supper in a while, and then clear up after that and remake the bed with fresh linen. Then it’s chill out time, waiting until 11pm when I shall go along to St Luke’s for the Midnight Communion service.
