Happy Birthday...

to me..... :-) 41, where did the years go?

It was a very busy day, not least with discovering that Gabriel had a cold, which we had feared..... He didn't really nap, and when we had tea and cake in the afternoon he was overtired and miserable! Lucy was there all afternoon cavorting around which was very exhausting! 

In some ways I didn't really think much of my birthday; as in it didn't matter that I didn't have a present, as explained to my mum, Gabriel is my present, the best one ;-) 

On a serious note, birthdays have always felt hard as an adult, as I wasn't where I wanted to be. This time last year I was about to embark on my first round of IVF- taking the medications to prime my body to hopefully accept an embryo on 3rd January. And a year later I spent the day cuddling and trying (in vain!) to comfort a small baby boy who has his first cold :-) 

There's nothing else I really need or want.... well, except a baby girl ;-)
