Say cheese
Started Christmas Eve with a run - first in a while, slow but enjoyable.
Niece Amy came round with her 2 little boys and baby. We haven’t seen them for a while so they were a bit wary of us at first. Amy appointed herself chef in charge of the beef Wellington for tomorrow’s dinner. This mainly involved her issuing orders to the rest of us, but to be fair it was all done and the Wellies are sat in the fridge ready for tomorrow. The boys entertained them selves (and us) with a treasure hunt in the garden. We had to find their hidden Christmas decorations!
Once they had gone home we ventured across the road to the pub for a beer and catch up with a few locals that we know. And then back to the house for a curry and cheese board feast. Put in calls to family in New Zealand. First to our niece, then to our son. They are meeting up later in their day for a swim and bbq. It’s lovely that they will get together at this time.
