Soccer Sunday (for a change)
The problem of Ottawacker Jr.’s playing on two teams is that occasionally he has two games on the same day. And so it happened today, with the first game being at the ungodly hour of 7am. Thankfully it was at the RA Centre, so we had the delights of playing West Ottawa but didn’t have to travel out there. Seriously though, who in their right minds thinks 7am is a good time to play football?
Finished that, then it was time to go and fetch Mrs. Ottawacker from the hairdresser. Odalia had felt so mortified about cancelling the appointment yesterday that she came in to work on a Sunday morning to make up for it. So, after the first game, Ottawacker Jr. and I went to pick her up. She wasn’t finished, so Ottawacker Jr. had his hair cut while the colour was curing, and then we went to wait in a nearby Starbucks.
Back home after that – and managed to stifle a snort when Manchester United lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth. Unfortunately, I had to miss the Liverpool game against Tottenham (6-3 win for the good guys) as Ottawacker Jr. had his second match, this time against OSU Blue. A good 3-1 win against a physical opponent. The back home, where I watched the highlights of the Liverpool game, sent a pile of emails, prepared dinner, and then settled back to watch a film.
