Joy in the park

We spent a lovely day with my daughter Amy and Chris and our granddaughters. We went to their local newly renovated park this afternoon. It had been in a state of disrepair for a few years with various bits of equipment being taken away for health and safety reasons. Southampton City Council promised the park would reopen by Christmas and it did, just! I’m tempted to say who needs presents when you can run round in a park. There were lots of people there and I think it was the high point of the day for lots of people. Certainly the girls had a great time. Thank you Southampton City Council, that was a great Christmas present for the local community
