A warm hearth

It was so nice to walk into Mom's this morning and have a fire going. I've really missed the wood stove we had in Maine.
It was beautiful driving out this morning. It was cool and overcast but there was sunshine shining on the Never Summer Mountains way to the south in Colorado and some on our nearer mountains. We have also had a lovely hour of snow showers this afternoon.
Mom is making a fruit salad to go with dinner. She whipped cream to put on it and I will whip some dairy free cream to put on mine. Mom just exclaimed she just put the whip cream on all of the fruit salad. Never mind, I just washed mine off and will put my own whipped cream on mine..lol.
