From the Old to the Young

We thought that we were going to have an 18 month old young lady today, but she was under the weather, making grandson Beckett the youngest reveler. While there was question about the youngest, there was NO question about who was the oldest. Grandpa Jim (97) wins the prize, thus getting to be the first in line to load up the brunch plate.

I was able to fulfill my gravy-making duties, but Lisa had to cook the bacon while I went back to bed. Her scrambled egg casserole was delicious, and the food that other family members brought rounded out our meal.

Christmas (especially) makes me miss my mom. I think it was her favorite holiday, and she went all out.

In addition to Grandpa Jim and Beckett, on the bookends here are d-i-l Heather and son Jeff.
