Weathervane

Yes, indeed! It's not a bird, it's not a plane, it's a ... DRAGON! This is the medieval weathervane that used to perch on top of the mighty bell tower in Ghent, Belgium, where I was yesterday, spending another sunny afternoon. But if this is the medieval one, what's on the tower now?!? You guessed it ... another dragon!

In the oh so old days, they used to 'feed' gunpowder and other explosive mixtures into the dragon's mouth (observe the tube-like thingey protruding out of it) during general festivities (or some count's birthday) so that it would literally spit out fire. Wish I could've been there to see that!
