Frecinet Peninsula

Today the ship anchored in the tranquillity of Promise Bay, on the western (sheltered) coast of the Frecinet Peninsula. We stayed in a lodge here in December 2019 so it was lovely to revisit.

This morning we took a zodiac cruise along the coast, looking at seals and seabirds. The most exciting sighting was this pair of White-Breasted Sea Eagles.

In the afternoon we went ashore and walked through the National Park to Wineglass Bay (extra) on the eastern coast.  It's so lovely to go for a walk in warm sunshine with unrecognised birdsong and the air full of a spicy herbal aroma, to a pristine beach.
